Job Title: Early Years Practitioner/ Nursery Practitioner (Level 2 or Level 3)

Salary: Level 2: Up to £29,300 P/A - Level 3: Up to £31,600 P/A

Early Years Practitioner Roles and Responsibilities


As the new Early Years Practitioner, you will be supported in your work in a family-run, and friendly work environment. Your roles and responsibilities will include:

    Welcoming the children and their families each day, providing informative information on their child

    Provide and maintain a safe, stimulating, age-appropriate environment

    Complete observations, planning and reports for key children
  • right arrow icon
    A sound knowledge of your key children's development and how to support their growth
  • right arrow icon
    Complete all accident and medicine forms, complying with company policy
  • right arrow icon
    Have a high regard for safeguarding, and complying with company policy
  • right arrow icon
    Keep knowledge up to date and attend all courses and training as required
  • right arrow icon
    Keep knowledge up to date and attend all courses and training as required

    To work as part of a team, supporting one another to provide the very best care for our children and families

Skills and Experience Required for the Early Years Practitioner Job


Here at Abbey Wood Grange Nursery, we offer complete support to develop your skills, with training provided by the senior members of our team and support with learning new qualifications. We do, however, ask that you have:

    Recognised Childcare qualification at either Level 2 or 3

    Understanding of the EYFS

    Enhanced DBS

    Right to work in the UK

    Fluent in English communication (spoken and written)

    Professional References
While not essential for this role, the below certifications are also desirable:
